How Topics Are Calculated:
Example 1: Translation of 3 languages for casual chat = 3 channels = Counted as 1 topic
Example 2: Translation of 3 languages each for casual chat and development = 6 channels = Counted as 2 topics
5.3 Payment Methods
For paid plans, payment processing uses Stripe, Inc.'s payment service. The following payment methods are supported:
Credit card
Debit card
Other payment methods supported by Stripe
5.4 Automatic Renewal
Monthly and annual plans will automatically renew upon expiration. If you do not wish to renew, you must complete the cancellation procedure through the Company's designated method at least 5 business days before the next renewal date.
5.5 Price Changes
The Company reserves the right to change the pricing of the Service. Notice of price changes will be provided 30 days in advance via email and the official website.
5.6 Refund Policy
5.6.1 Refunds Due to Company Fault
If the Service is continuously stopped for 48 hours or more due to reasons attributable to the Company, a pro-rated refund of the monthly fee corresponding to the outage period will be provided upon user request.
5.6.2 User-Initiated Cancellation
If a User cancels in the middle of a contract period for their own reasons, no pro-rated refund will be provided for the unused period. This applies to both monthly and annual contracts.
5.6.3 Free Trial Period End
If there is no transition to a paid plan at the end of the free trial, translated message text will no longer be displayed.
6. Prohibited Actions
Users must not engage in the following actions when using the Service:
6.1 Technical Abuse
Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the Service
Mechanical mass posting or abuse using automated tools or Bots
Actions that place excessive load on the Service, service disruption
Actions that compromise the security of the Service
6.2 Commercial Use Restrictions
Using the Service to provide translation services to third parties for a fee (agency-type business model).
6.3 Restrictions During Closed Beta
Using the Service on Discord servers other than those that have been applied for and approved in advance during the Closed Beta period.
6.4 Discord Terms Violations
Violations of Discord Inc.'s Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, or Developer Policy
6.5 Legal Violations
Violations of Japanese domestic law or applicable laws
Actions contrary to public order and morals
Criminal acts or acts leading to crimes
6.6 Infringement of Others' Rights
Infringement of others' intellectual property rights, privacy rights, reputation rights, or other rights
Defamation, harassment, or discriminatory speech against others
6.7 Unauthorized Access
Unauthorized use of others' accounts
Unauthorized access to the Service's servers or network
6.8 Other Prohibited Actions
Actions that cause disadvantage or damage to the Company or third parties
Actions that interfere with the operation of the Service
Other actions deemed inappropriate by the Company
7. Data Handling and Privacy
7.1 Handling of Personal Information
The handling of personal information in this Service is governed by the separately defined "Privacy Policy."

7.2 Data Collection
The Company collects the following information to provide the Service:
Discord User ID
Discord Server ID
Channel ID
Message ID
Email address (when contracting paid plans)
7.3 Message Content Handling
Important: The Service temporarily holds message content in memory for translation processing, but does not permanently store message content in databases or servers. After translation processing is completed, message content is immediately discarded.
7.4 Non-Use for AI Model Training
The Company will never use collected data for AI model training or improvement.
7.5 Data Deletion
If a User removes the Service Bot from a Discord server, data related to that server will be immediately deleted.
8. Intellectual Property Rights
8.1 Service Name and Trademarks
The name "AltBot," its logo, and other trademarks related to the Service are trademarks of the Company. They may not be used without the Company's prior written permission.
8.2 Copyright of Translation Results
Copyright of translation results generated by the Service belongs to the User who posted the original message.
8.3 AI Models and Systems
The AI models, translation technology, systems, and other intellectual property rights used in the Service belong to the Company.
8.4 Use of PLaMo2 Model
This Service uses a proprietary translation model based on Preferred Networks' PLaMo2 model. It is provided as "Built with PLaMo" under the PLaMo2 Community License.
9. Disclaimer
9.1 Translation Accuracy
While the Company strives to improve translation accuracy, please understand the following:
The Service does not guarantee complete translation accuracy
Technical terms, proper nouns, slang, etc. may be mistranslated
Depending on context, translation results may differ from the intended meaning
Human verification is recommended for important decisions
Limitation of Liability: The Company is not liable for damages arising from translation errors. However, this does not apply in cases of intentional or gross negligence by the Company.
9.2 Service Availability
While the Company strives to provide stable service, the Service may be stopped in the following cases:
Regular maintenance (with advance notice)
Emergency maintenance
Server failure
Force majeure (natural disasters, communication failures, etc.)
9.3 Service Level Agreement (SLA)
During Closed Beta: No SLA applies
Official Version: Target monthly uptime of 99% (best effort)
9.4 Closed Beta Disclaimer
The Closed Beta version is a service in development, and bugs or unexpected behavior may occur. The Company assumes no liability for damages caused by feature malfunctions during the Closed Beta period.
9.5 Integration with Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party services such as Discord and Stripe. The Company is not liable if the Service is affected by failures or changes to these third-party services.
9.6 Scope of Disclaimer
The Company assumes no liability for the following damages resulting from use of the Service:
Data loss
Business interruption
Loss of profits
Other indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
However, this does not apply in cases of intentional or gross negligence by the Company.
10. Service Changes, Interruptions, and Termination
10.1 Changes to Service Content
The Company may change, add to, or discontinue the content of the Service without prior notice to Users. However, the Company will endeavor to provide advance notice for significant changes where possible.
During the Closed Beta period, service features and specifications may change without notice.
10.2 Regular Maintenance
The Company will conduct regular maintenance to maintain and improve the Service.
Advance Notice: As a general rule, notice will be provided approximately 24 hours in advance (best effort basis)
Notification Method: Discord server and official website
Compensation: No compensation will be provided for service outages due to planned maintenance
10.3 Emergency Maintenance
In the event of an emergency, the Company may stop the Service without notice.
Post-Notice: Prompt notification via Discord and website after stoppage
Compensation: As a general rule, no compensation will be provided for service outages due to emergency maintenance
10.4 Service Termination
The Company may terminate all or part of the Service in the following cases:
If the Company determines that continuing the Service is difficult based on business judgment
If provision of the Service becomes difficult or illegal due to changes in laws and regulations
If provision of the Service becomes difficult due to natural disasters, war, or other force majeure
10.5 Procedures Upon Service Termination
When terminating the Service, the Company will:
Advance Notice: Notify via email, Discord server, and official website at least 14 days before termination
Data Export: Since the Service does not store message content, no data export function will be provided
Refunds: If there is a valid paid plan contract at the time of service termination, a pro-rated refund for the unused period will be provided
11. Changes to Terms of Service
11.1 Authority to Change
The Company may change these Terms in the following cases:
Changes to service content
Addition of new features
Amendments to laws and regulations
Other cases deemed necessary by the Company
11.2 Notification Methods for Changes
For Significant Changes
Notification will be provided 30 days before the change via the following methods:
Announcement on Discord support server
Email notification to paid users
Announcement on website top page
For Minor Changes
Notice will be provided 7 days before the change by posting on the website and updating the "Last Updated" date.
11.3 Consent Through Continued Use
By continuing to use the Service after changes are made, you are deemed to have agreed to the updated Terms of Service. If you do not agree to the updated content, please discontinue use of the Service and contact us at https://forms.gle/EQuK6G1fb97hGvmdA.
11.4 Update History
The change history of these Terms can be viewed on the official website (https://altbot.app/).
12. Contract Termination and Account Suspension
12.1 Termination by the Company
The Company may suspend use of the Service or terminate the contract without prior notice if a User falls under any of the following:
Violation of any provision of these Terms
Violation of Discord Terms of Service or Community Guidelines
Discovery of fraudulent use of payment methods
Previous history of service use suspension or contract termination
Other cases where the Company deems use of the Service inappropriate
12.2 Measures for Violations
If a Terms violation occurs, the Company will take the following measures depending on the situation:
Warning
Temporary service use suspension
Permanent service use suspension
Contract termination
Specific measures will be determined by the Company on a case-by-case basis according to the content and severity of the violation.
12.3 Fees During Suspension
No refunds will be provided for paid plan fees during account suspension.
12.4 Data After Permanent Suspension
In the case of permanent suspension, as with normal cancellation, translated text will no longer be displayed. User data (Discord ID, server ID, etc.) will be processed according to the Company's data retention policy.
12.5 User-Initiated Cancellation
Users may cancel use of the Service at any time.

Handling Upon Cancellation
Paid Plans: You may use the Service until the last day of the period for which cancellation was requested. After that, translated text will no longer be displayed
Refunds: In the case of mid-contract cancellation, no pro-rated refund will be provided for the unused period (applies to both monthly and annual contracts)
Data Deletion: By removing the Bot from the Discord server, data related to that server will be immediately deleted
12.6 Re-contracting After Cancellation
If a User who has canceled once re-contracts, the Closed Beta participant discount will not be applied.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
13.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.
13.2 Jurisdiction
The Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance for any disputes related to these Terms.
13.3 Language
The Japanese version of these Terms is the authoritative text. In the event of any discrepancy between the translated version and the Japanese version, the Japanese version shall prevail.
